Refurbished 2007 after a long period of inactivity.
The pub was closed for many years on and off (1997 - 2006) since the demise of Preston's original late night bar (and Pizzaria) Nonno's.
This incarnation (Mercury Flux) looks like it could take off judging by the amount of work that has been undertaken structurally and cosmetically over the previous 12 months.

This place has previously been called The Corner Club, X-treme, Pips and before that in the mid to late 1980's, Nonno's which was at the time the only pub in the city centre to serve alcohol until 1am because they also sold pizzas (I think it had been Nonno's Restaurant prior to being Nonno's - the pub yuet retained it's licenese... maybe).
